Just what is Aquavit?
Outside of Scandinavia, that's a frequent question!
Fundamentally aquavit is a vodka-based product infused with a variety of herbs and spices. Primarily consumed in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Northern Germany, there is a great variety of aquavit available.
One can safely say that Valhalla Premium Aquavit is a bit different. First of all, instead of having one or two spices that dominate the flavor, Valhalla has seven prepared a certain way (and in specific proportions) to enhance the flavors and bring a balance to them all.
Once the herbs and spices have had time to impart their flavor to the vodka, the aquavit is then added to a mix of American and French oak for a unique and memorable aquavit experience.
